Most people think great creators are just… naturally confident on camera.

Like they press record, speak perfectly, and the video is done.

But that’s not the reality.

I was watching some raw recording footage of Iman Gadzhi.

He starts a sentence.

Stops.

Looks at the camera again.

Then says the same line again.

Then again.

A line that probably appears in the final video for 5–6 seconds was taking him around 20–30 seconds to record, because he kept retaking it… maybe five or six times until the delivery felt right.

Even the creators who look super confident… don’t always get it right in the first take.

When you watch experienced creators record, a few things stand out:

Delivery changes depending on the video Some topics need calm and thoughtful energy. Others need intensity and urgency.

Emotion matters more than perfection If you genuinely feel what you’re saying, the audience will feel it too.

Body language carries the message Hand gestures, facial expressions, posture — they communicate more than the script.

Retakes are completely normal Even the best creators repeat the same sentence multiple times to get the right rhythm and emotion.

And honestly… that’s the part most people never see.

We only see the final video.

But behind it, there are often 10 messy takes.

Small pauses. Wrong words. Laughing at mistakes. Starting again.

That’s the real process.

And if you feel uncomfortable speaking to a camera… that’s completely normal.

Your brain just isn’t used to it yet.

Think about it.

You didn’t become comfortable speaking in front of people the first time either.

It took practice.

Camera is the same thing.

At first it feels awkward.

Then slowly… it becomes normal.

Then one day you press record and realize:

“oh… this feels easy now.”

So if you’re a creator struggling with this right now,

don’t wait until you feel confident.

Just record.

Even if the first take feels bad. Even if you stop mid sentence. Even if you retake the same line five times or even ten times.

That’s not failure.

That’s a part of the process

That’s literally how creators get better.

Confidence on camera doesn’t come before recording.

It comes because you keep recording.

Just keep pressing record.

The rest will slowly fix itself.
